On Tuesday November 19th Walmart Inc. reported another strong quarter with better-than-expected total revenue and the best U.S. comp store sales in 5 quarters. Similarly, Sam’s Club delivered 3.9% net sales growth of $22.9B and a 7.0% comp ex-fuel, the strongest since early 2023.

This quarter CEO Chris Nicholas pointed to the fundamentals successfully driving the business: great items at great prices, as well as the continued progress in omnichannel. Strength in the club channel as a key retail theme of 2024 cannot be understated, and the acceleration in Q3 performance suggests it remains a winning bet for suppliers and brands looking for growth in 2025 as well.
